BLINDMAN'S BLUFF

In this game, one player is taken into the middle of the room and a scarf is tied over his or her eyes. This player is then turned round three times and told to catch whomever he or she can.

The other players move to and fro, passing as near to the blindfolded player as they dare, until someone is caught.

The blindfolded player must guess who they've caught - if correct, their captive takes their place. If the guess is wrong, they must let go and try again.

BLOWING THE EGG

Two pieces of tape are stretched across the carpet. An ordinary hen's egg -- which has had the entire contents removed without cracking the shell -- is laid exactly midway between the tape lines.

One player then makes a little paper fan out of half a sheet of notepaper and kneels down on one side of the tapes and another kneels down on the other. Player 1 then has to try to fan the egg shell across the tape on Player 2's side and Player 2 has to try to blow the shell back across the tape on Player 1's side. The one who first drives the egg across his partner's line three times wins the contest.

BLOWING OUT THE CHRISTMAS CANDLE

A lit candle is placed upon a table or chair and each player is, in turn, blindfolded and stood with his back to the candle, about two feet away. He is then told to take three steps forward, turn round three times, take four steps towards the candle and then blow it out.

In the majority of cases, the blindfolded player will lose all idea of distance and position, and when he blows, it will be in quite another part of the room from that in which the candle stands. Of course, it is wise to have a player or two standing by the side of the candle to prevent any blindfolded person from getting too near.

CHRISTMAS MAZE

This is a game for a Christmas party that would be fun to watch!

Tie a prize to the end of a ball of string or yarn, then hide a prize somewhere in the room - under a chair, or a cushion, or in a wastebasket.

Unwind the ball of string completely, passing it around table legs, under furniture and in & out of objects as you unwind.

Tie a pencil to the remaining end of the string. Then repeat this process for each of the players, choosing different locationes for each prize. Don't worry about crisscrossing the strings; that only makes the game more fun!

Hand each player a pencil with the string attached. Explain that each string leads to a separate prize. Each player must wind the strong on their pencil until they reach their prize.

CHRISTMAS WORDS

Each player is given a piece of paper with a Christmas phrase written across the top. Then everyone has ten minutes to list as many words as they can think of that are associated with Christmas, using only the letters in the Christmas phrase. The person with the longest list wins.

Here are a few phrases to get you started: Christmas Tree, Deck the Halls, Frosty the Snowman.
