Have An Old Fashioned Christmas - Party Games

Christmas Bells

SNOWMEN

Give each player a sheet of paper and a pencil. The object of the game is to draw the most snowmen as possible, according to the rules. No player may start a second snowman until the first one is completed.

Each player takes a turn rolling the pair of dice, trying first for a 6. Once a player rolls a 6, he/she may draw the snowball for the snowman's base. After he/she had drawn the base, he/she may add another snowball for the upper body when a 3 is rolled, and a head when a 4 is rolled. A pair of numbers on the dice will add eyes and a 5 will add the snowman's nose.

Set a timer for half an hour. At the end of that time, the player with the most snowmen wins the game.

STATUES

All players but one line up at the end of a room. The player who is "it" is called the Catcher and stands alone at the opposite end.

The game begins when the Catcher turns so his or her back is facing the players.

While the Catcher isn't looking, the remaining players begin moving across the room toward him or her. At any time, the Catcher may suddenly call "Red Light!" and turn around. All players must instantly freeze like statues.

If the Catcher sees a player actually moving, he/she sends the player to start over at the beginning. When the Catcher again turns his/her back to the players, he/she will call out "Green Light!" and the players may again begin to move carefully forward.

The goal is for players to gradually move across the room without being caught until one of them reaches the Catcher. The winner then becomes the Catcher.
