Have An Old Fashioned Christmas - Party Games

Santa Claus

CHRISTMAS MAZE

This is a game for a Christmas party that would be fun to watch!

Tie a prize to the end of a ball of string or yarn, then hide the prize somewhere in the room - under a chair, or a cushion, or in a wastebasket.

Unwind the ball of string completely, passing it around table legs, under furniture and in & out of objects as you unwind.

Tie a pencil to the remaining end of the string. Then repeat this process for each of the players. Don't worry about crisscrossing the strings; that only makes the game more fun!

Hand each player a pencil with the string attached. Explain that each string leads to a separate prize. Each player must wind the strong on their pencil until they reach their prize.

CHRISTMAS WORDS

Each player is given a piece of paper with a Christmas phrase written across the top. Then everyone has ten minutes to list as many words as they can think of that are associated with Christmas, using only the letters in the Christmas phrase. The person with the longest list wins.

Here are a few phrases to get you started: Christmas Tree, Deck the Halls, Frosty the Snowman.

FEATHERS & FANS

You need a feather for this game. Fans can be made from stiff pieces of paper - make one fan for each player.

Place a strip of tape across the floor to divide the room and put half the players on one side and half on the other.

Toss the feather into the air and keep it up with the fans. The feather, while in flight, must not be touched. No players must leave their side of the line, but should do their best to stop the feather sailing across it.

Whichever side the feather finally lands on loses the game.
