Beverage Recipes


MULLED CIDER

1 cup Brown Sugar
2 quarts Cider
1 inch Stick Cinnamon
6 whole Cloves
1 tsp whole Allspice
Grated Nutmeg to taste


Combine sugar, allspice, cloves,and cinnamon to cider amd simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Serve hot in punch glasses or mugs.



MULLED WINE

750 ml bottle Red Wine
2 Lemons
2 Oranges
2 ounces Brandy
1 cup Brown Sugar
2 whole Allspice
2 Cloves
Cinnamon Sticks


Heat the wine in a saucepan: bring to a simmer but do not boil. Add sugar, sliced fruit, brandy, allspice and cloves to the wine. Adjust spices to your own taste. Allow to stand for about 15 minutes before serving. Pour into heat resistant punch glasses or mugs and garnish with cinnamon sticks or slices of orange or lemon.



COFFEE LIQUER

2 cups Water
2 cups sugar
2 oz Instant Coffee
2 Vanilla Beans, chopped
3 bottle Vodka


Bring water and sugar to a boil, then cool. Add coffee, chopped vanilla beans and vodka. Pour into glass bottles, seal and store for about three weeks. Strain.



HOMEMADE IRISH CREAM

3 eggs, well beaten
500 ml Whipping Cream
500 ml Light Cream
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
6 drops Almond flavoring
3 tsp. Instant Coffee in 1 tsp. Water
1 3/4 cups Scotch Whiskey
3 tsp. chocolate topping


Whip together. Keep refrigerated. Makes 2 1/2 - 26s.



MAGIC MILK IRISH CREAM

250 ml Irish Whiskey
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
250 ml Half & Half Cream
15 ml Chocolate Syrup
3 Eggs


Mix in blender and serve. Keep refrigerated and shake well before pouring. Approximately one litre.



KAHLUA

1 quart Water
3 cups sugar
10 tsp. Instant Yuban Coffee
3 tsp. Vanilla flavoring
3 cups Vodka


Simmer water, sugar and coffee uncovered, for one hour. Allow to cool, then add vanilla and vodka.



TIA MARIA

1/4 cup instant Coffee
1 cup water
3 1/2 cups brown sugar
3 cups water
26 oz. dark Rum
1 Vanilla Bean


Dissolve coffee in one cup hot water. Cool. Boil sugar and three cups of water for three minutes. When cook, mix sugar and coffee mixtures together, then add Rum. Pour into holding jar and add vanilla bean. Seal and sit on counter for 21 days. Swirl mixture once a day.



GALIANO

2 cups Brown Sugar
1 cup water
26 oz. Vodka
3 tsp. Pineapple extract
3 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Anise
5 drops yellow food coloring


Combine sugar and water. Boil 5 minutes, then cool. Add vodka. Mix with remaining ingredients in a large jar. Store 2 to 3 weeks and swirl once a day. Happy Wallbangers!!



CREAM DE CACAO SPECIALS

4 oz. Milk
2 oz. Brandy
2 oz. Cream de Cacao
2 tablespoons sugar
Chocolate shavings (optional)
Whipping Cream


Mix all ingredients except chocolate and whipping cream in a pot and heat until hot but not boiling. Pour into two fancy coffee glasses and top with whipping cream and chocolate shavings.



GRAND MARNIER

2/3 cup Triple Sec
1/3 cup Brandy
1 tbsp Sugar

Pour Brandy and Triple Sec into a jar, then add sugar and stir to dissolve.
